Breakfast Nook Update

A while back I shared with you a plan for our breakfast nook which included high back leather club chairs and console table. I've since decided to simplify the approach and use a beautiful chair from Joybird that we already own. That space has also become where the children love to play and hang out in the evenings while I'm making dinner. So adding more furniture didn't seem to make much sense.

The biggest problem with the space was that it lacked definition. What was in there just floated and felt lost. I solved this by adding a big oval jute rug. It made a huge difference by immediately grounding the furniture and defining the space. Now all it needs is a light fixture and a few more plants and it's done!

Here are a few photos of it currently.
