We almost always have music playing at our house. It's great for spontaneous dance parties with the children and just makes for a lovely backdrop to daily life.
We decided to go with Sonos for our sound system and love not only the quality of the sound, but also how easy it is to set up and use.
We have two Sonos CONNECT:AMP, one in the kitchen and one that feeds the outdoor space. The beauty is that you connect them to speakers you already have and you can control the whole thing with your mobile phone. In the living room we went with the Sonos PLAYBAR. It's a full surround sound system housed in a slim elegant bar. The great thing about this device is that it's where all the sound for the TV comes through but it also connects to the others for streaming music. I control the whole thing from an app on my phone and I have to say, for a not so tech savvy person, I love it.
Here are a few of our favorite Pandora playlists lately:
The Lumineers Radio Chill and lovely for when you want some beautiful lyrics and mellow beats.
The Head & the Heart Radio Also very chill and can be a little melancholy at times so I use this one sparingly.
Dia Frampton Radio Upbeat and fun I like this for afternoon dancing.
Carla Bruni I play this in the mornings when we are having breakfast. It's a collection of lovely french music that makes me feel like we live in the south of France.
Jason Mraz Radio I love his music because it's upbeat and fun. Always good for afternoon lounging outside.
Hipster BBQ This is a great station with all the current hipster favorites. I love this station anytime and it's probably the most played at our house.
Mayer Hawthorne Radio Cool vibes with this station. Great for mid-morning.
80's Alternative Radio All my old favorites appear on this station. It brings me back to my pre-teenage years.
We also love WUNC on some weekday mornings when Patrick works from home. We catch up on news and what's happening in the world.
I'd love to hear what your favorite Pandora station are. Leave a comment and let me know. I'm always looking for new ones to try!
