Lovely Things

Another week has gone by and so it's time for my Lovely Things roundup. This week we have my brother and his family visiting! I'm so excited to see them and spend some time showing them the south.

Here are my finds for hosting people. I used this article from Southern Living as Inspiration.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

ESSENTIALS

-I love Burt's Bees not just because their products are wonderful but also because they are a North Carolina based company. I always keep the Pomegranate Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner in the guest bathroom.

-I have a box filled with snacks for my guests to snack on during their stay. I love Justin's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups as a treat and Kind Caramel Almond & Sea Salt Bars and a slightly healthier option.

-Having high quality sheets is a must. This article on picking the perfect set of sheets a good one. Also, when guests come a second time, I like to outfit the bed with a set of hand embroidered vintage sheets I've inherited from my mom and grandmothers over the years. It feels like such a special touch!

WHAT TO DO

-We are members of a health club here in Raleigh and love taking our guests to the pool! I always have extra natural sunscreen on hand just in case.

-We are members at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham and love taking our guest with kids there!

-There are few things better than tasting North Carolina Whole Hog BBQ for the first time. The Pit is a favorite of ours and so we make sure to plan a lunch with our guests.

- Brewery Bhavana was just named one of Bon Apetite's 50 Best New Restaurants. And so we have been taking guest there for lunch under their dining room skylight!

FOOD

- I love to cook for my guests and Fresh Baked Bread every morning is always a big hit with visitors. I make this just for us most weekends, but when we have guests it becomes a morning ritual everyone looks forward to!
